Interact with our three 2023 Eagles Mere Artists in Residence, director Harriet Power and actors Sophia Barrett and Jake Blouch . Watercolor Painting with Linda Berry

We all have gifts and we all have gaps! If you consider yourself a novice, or somewhat experienced artist, this class is an opportunity to strengthen your art and fill in many of your gaps. We will all paint a still life composition of flowers and also have time to work on a watercolor painting of a subject you choose.

iPhonography with Julie Stauffer

Discover the power of what's in your BACK pocket!

In this workshop with iPhone photography expert Julie Stauffer, you will learn to use your iPhone as a camera and editing device and will discover the vast technical capabilities of this electronic device. Your photographs taken with your iPhone promise to stand out as creative and personal interpretations of what you "see" before you press the shutter. This workshop is designed to meet you where you are so that those already familiar with some of the introductory information can take off in new directions.

Introduction to Acrylic Landscape Painting with Gerry Mann

Participants in this class will work to finish a small landscape painting of a subject/place of their choosing by working from a photograph. Various painting tools will be discussed and modeled. The concept of an underpainting will be demonstrated and the basics of color theory will be taught as individuals build their images and experience the nuances of color expression.

Textured Mug Clay Class with Melissa Jenkins

Learn how to create a custom-made, functional clay mug or stein using slab building techniques in this beginner level class. Use our extensive collection of textures to create your own tapered mug with a personalized handle. We’ll all follow along the same basic steps, but each mug will be uniquely styled. Choose a color from our house-made dip glazes to finish off your design.

Ukulele Workshop with Simple Gifts

Take this beginner level class in Ukulele and then have fun performing a song with Simple Gifts at their concert on the Village Green that evening. In this class, you will learn 2-3 chords and the basics of fingerpicking and strumming and be ready to go!

Let’s Face It: Creative Self Portraits with Amy Cohen

No Experience Necessary. Really!

How do you want to depict yourself? Portraits created in this workshop will provide a snapshot in time, showing who you are at this moment.

On day one, you will learn how to draw a realistic black and white pencil portrait of the head. Amy will do a demonstration on measuring and proportion necessary to depict a representational head, and then work one-on-one with participants on their self-portraits.

Day two will focus on creating a portrait of your Psychological Selves. We will begin with a demonstration/lecture with examples of how pencil manipulation, composition, scale, proportion and light can be employed to create a portrait that goes beyond straight representation.
