Von Roz is a duo made up of husband and wife John and Meg Glaubitz. They met playing music on the event band scene in Philadelphia, but their musical styles run the gamut of musical creativity. John is a bluesy rocker with a soft side, and Meg enjoys jazz scatting and singing classical music as well as her Americana and roots music influences. Often compared to a mix of Bonnie Raitt and Tedeschi Trucks, the two of them have been finalists in the Philadelphia Songwriter’s Project as well as performed with lauded rock bands such as Soraia and AlyCat, as well as jazz and event bands such as the Hot Club of Philadelphia and the Strangers. Meg is a choral director by day, and John works at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital with brain and spinal cord injuries as a music therapist. The two of them live and breathe music day in, and day out- and their 4-year-old daughter Maggie is already joining them on stage occasionally! It’s a musical life for Von Roz, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
