The Black-capped Chickadee brings three words to mind: cute, curious and bold. If you are patient, a Chickadee will take seed directly from your hand. Over the summer Chickadees will hide thousands of seeds, putting each one in a unique spot. The Chickadee is amazing in that over the course of a winter it can recall the location of each seed it has hidden. These birds are easily seen year-round in Eagles Mere at many feeding stations, and in virtually any area with trees.
