In this class you will weave a small usable birdhouse on a 4″ wooden base with a finished height of approximately 11″ using round and flat reeds. Please bring a pair of scissors. All other materials will be provided.

Hughesville artist Karen Spring started weaving baskets after studying at what is now Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1986. Over the past 20 years Karen has exhibited at many craft shows and taught basket weaving classes at numerous venues, including at Centered Earth pottery shop in Pennsdale. She enjoys weaving decorative or usable baskets. Her keepsake Memory Baskets incorporate everyday personal items such as kitchen utensils, old tools, clothing, belts and even used deer antlers.
