We’d like to say “our spouse” . . . but playwright A.R. Gurney’s SYLVIA, directed by Harriet Power, offers a different answer: your DOG!

When empty-nest couple Greg and Kate move to Manhattan expecting a happy new chapter, stray dog Sylvia bounds into their lives, upending everything. Gurney’s delightful comedy captures the unexpected ways marriages negotiate change… and celebrates the unconditional love that dogs and humans share.
