The Sonder Space is a visual and performing arts project providing a platform for emerging and accomplished artists to present their work with maximum creative freedom. “Sonder” is defined as “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.” With this in mind, the group aims to create art that touches on the human experience from multiple perspectives while broadening the performers’ perceptions of what “art” is.

In this performance, the Sonder Space dancers will present an excerpt from the show, “Volume i”, which premiered in May of 2024. Following this, guest musician and Curtis Institute of Music alumni Arlen Hlusko will treat the audience to a solo for cello. To conclude the evening, the dancers will present a longer new work, accompanied by Arlen, seen for the first time right here in Eagles Mere.
