The Hot Club of Philadelphia is a dynamic jazz ensemble that brings a modern twist to the timeless sounds of Gypsy Jazz and swing. Founded in 2003 by guitarist/bandleader, Barry Wahrhaftig, the band draws inspiration from the legendary Hot Club of France, which was made famous by the virtuoso Django Reinhardt and violinist Stéphane Grappelli. The Hot Club of Philadelphia stays true to the energetic and improvisational spirit of Gypsy jazz while adding their own unique flavor, combining traditional melodies with a fresh, contemporary approach.

With a lineup often featuring guitars, violin, bass, and vocals, the band showcases tight harmonies, virtuosic solos, and an infectious rhythm section.
