The name Copstache is shorthand for ‘the illusion of authority’. Copstache is an original Philadelphia alt-country band led by Eagles Mere summer resident Jeff Klemens and Jason Bookman – who have played together in several other Philadelphia area bands – and with a rotating cast of supporting musicians. This will be their second time performing on the Village Green in Eagles Mere.

Copstache’s songs are story-driven and topical in the tradition of John Prine, John Hiatt, and Steve Earle. Their goal is to write about serious things without taking themselves too seriously. Copstache has many different configurations, from acoustic duo to a 6-piece band, at bars, and has played at many music venues, and private events around the Philadelphia region.
